The planning process responsibility for the treatment philosophy and physical design systems is being shared by an interdisciplinary team consisting of professionals and users from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, William S. Hall, M.D., State Commissioner of Mental Health, the Community Mental Health Center, and the Health Care Facilities Planning and Design Studio, College of Architecture, Clemson University. A spirit of cooperation has been fostered between sister institutions that hopefully will be a successful model for other states.
